Who we are
CarouselMaker ("we", "us") provides a service that creates and publishes social media carousel posts on behalf of its users. Contact:carouselmakerapp@gmail.com.
Data we collect
- Account data — your name, email address, and login credentials when you create an account.
- Content data — briefs, text, CSV files, and images you provide, and the posts generated from them.
- Connected social accounts — when you connect Instagram, Facebook Pages, LinkedIn, or TikTok, we store the account identifiers and access tokens needed to publish on your behalf, plus basic profile information (account name, avatar) to display in the app.
- Insights data — post performance metrics (reach, likes, saves, comments) retrieved from Instagram and Facebook for posts we published, used to show you analytics.
- Usage data — standard logs (IP address, browser, pages viewed) used for security and to improve the product.
How we use it
- To generate, schedule, and publish posts you've asked us to create.
- To show you analytics for posts published through the service.
- To operate, secure, and improve the service.
- To bill you (payments are processed by Paddle; we never store card numbers).
We do not sell your data. We do not use your content or your social accounts for anything other than providing the service to you.
Meta platform data
Data received through Meta's APIs (Instagram and Facebook account info, media, and insights) is used only to publish your posts and display your analytics, is stored securely, and is deleted when you disconnect the account or delete your CarouselMaker account. See data deletion instructions.
Storage and retention
Data is stored with our hosting providers (Vercel, Supabase) in secured environments. We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data, content, and social tokens are deleted within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal or billing compliance.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time — in the app or by emailing carouselmakerapp@gmail.com. If you are in the EU/UK, you additionally have the rights provided by the GDPR, including the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the date above.
